Apparently, Sydney has been confirmed as two things, a hurricane or post tropical storm. Last night it was believed to be a hurricane, but later that day believed to be a post tropical storm by the hosts and weather specialists on Fox5 news. When they checked with the hurricane and tropical storm specialists, they confirmed it was a Post-Tropical Cyclone. Yes, it is neither a hurricane nor a post tropical storm, but a Post-Tropical Cyclone. I will keep you updated when I can.
